What is sustainable viticulture ♻️?

Whe

n we read that a winery is sustainable we are talking about a look at the production processes:

💧 Water care, is a scarce resource, which is used and treated to be able to reuse it.

🗑️ Sewage treatment and garbage recycling.

♻️ Use of bottles and supplies preferably recycled or low weight such as ecological bottles.

⚡️ Alternative energy generation.

There are several wineries that already have this integrating vision that, in addition, adds to the organic treatment of the vineyards (that is, the NO use of agrochemicals in the field) to complete a circle of wine production with the environment in mind.

This is the case of Bodega Argento @bodegaargento from the Avinea Group (@otroniapatagoniaextrema, Cruz de Piedra, @bodegapachecopereda and Cuesta del Madero) whose focus is on being sustainable and organic with the supervision of the winemaker @juanpablomurgia

This winery has 100 scores over 90 points in their wines and has the largest Pinot Grigio plantation in the country. However, today 90% of their products go to the international market and only 10% to the domestic one, which is really a shame because they have wonderful products. Fortunately I had the opportunity to try:

🍷 Be Bottled. Pinot Grigio 2021.

🍷 Estate Reserve Line. Cabernet Franc 2020.

🍷 Estate Collection. Malbec 2020

🍷Single Vineyard. Cabernet Franc 2020 Finca Agrelo, Malbec 2020 Finca Agrelo, Malbec 2020 Finca Altamira, Malbec 2020 Finca Gualtallary.

🍷 Single Block. Malbec 2019 Block 1 Paraje Altamira, Malbec 2020 Block 11 Finca Gualtallary.

Wines that are worth knowing and that I recommend you look for since they have an eye on our soil and how we present ourselves as a wine country to the world 🤩
